One early riser

Many of you will remember my picture "Old houses at the Canal", taken at ´s-Graveland/The Netherlands which I submitted some weeks ago: [link]

This shot was taken at the same place, but from the other side of the same bridge, now looking south instead of north along the canal. The houses are a lot less romantic than on the other side, but what I like about this shot, apart from the same mysterious atmosphere of the early morning, is that one window where somewhere was also already up at 8 am on a Sunday morning in February.

On this shot you can see that the houses are only built on one side of the canal, so that the boats on it could be tugged along from the other open side (where now is a road).
