Hi friends,
While my jchanders-gallery here on deviantArt is rushing on to 80 000 pageviews, Esperimenti has always been dragging behind. But now this gallery has reached the mark of 20 000 pageviews and has 542 watchers. With 634 deviations it is also a pretty big gallery by now.
Today I want to thank you very much for the interest of many of you for just this gallery! It has given me the courage to keep it going, though it was never as popular as the jchanders one
.Of course many people have asked in the course of past years why I take the trouble of keeping up and paying for two galleries here on deviantArt. Well, my jchanders-gallery is a nature gallery, taking nature in a broad sense. My interest in nature is very wide after all. But life is a matter of infinite variety, and so nature is just one of my photographic interests. I love human life scenes in the city and in the country-side, I love ships, lighthouses, bridges, windmills etc. I must admit, however, that I am a bit of a purist. So I prefer to keep all these shots apart in this gallery.
Trying to keep four galleries going by now, two here on deviantArt and two on Redbubble, I am really no longer able to react to all your comments personally. I still try to thank you for watching, even if sometimes very late, but expressing my thanks for favs and all individual comments has long since become an impossibility for me. But believe me that I am most grateful for them each and every time again. The same is the case for every feature. While I am no longer putting up feature journals myself at the moment, I try to give extra attention to a lot of your work by faving regularly.
One more important point: all my pictures are copyright protected. So none of them may be used without my personal permission.
Many, many thanks for the DD once again

Here a revised version of my journal concerning the great news of getting a DD for the following picture:

In the meantime my bewilderment of yesterday has given way to just joy and gratefulness. First for the choice of the picture itself, then for all the many views and wonderful comments, the favs and the new watchers! They form a welcome boost to continue this second gallery of mine.
By now I know whom to thank for the DD. Ever so many thanks to Patrick and John! I am really most grateful to both of t

I just discover that yesterday I got a DD here on esperimenti for the following shot:

I am still pretty bewildered, I must admit. I have never got 7 700 viewers of a picture nor more 1500 favs for it within 24 hours, neither here nor on my other gallery here on deviantArt:

Neither do I yet know who proposed the shot for a DD. I would ever so much like to do so. After all I want to thank these still unknown supporters with all my heart for this wonderful surprise. It certainly DOES

Welcome to this esperimenti-journal
Again and again I have been asked why I have chosen for having more than one gallery on deviantArt, with the extra trouble and cost which are implied. So here my answer again.
My jchanders-gallery here on devArt is a nature gallery, taking nature in a broad sense. My interest in nature is very wide after all.
But life is a matter of infinite variety, and so nature is just one of my photographic interests. I love human life scenes in the city and in the country-side, I love ships, lighthouses, bridges, windmills etc. I

Welcome to this Esperimenti-journal
As you can see from my first two submissions of this morning I am making a new start on my Esperimenti gallery today. Too many of my pictures were not submitted in the past months as they do not really fit into the nature photography concept of my jchanders-gallery.
So there will be new Esperimenti submissions from time to time, covering subjects as city and country life and trains and ships. And sometimes you will see a jogger, cyclist or horse rider in a beautiful nature surrounding here, too. After all there is always
